This episode is the first contribution from the man who has inspired more head-scratching fits among ThunderCat fans than anyone. Oh, and now we can blame him for the creation of the Mandora character. But keep in mind folks, this episode is *mild* compared to the havoc he wreaks on ThunderCat canon later, heh heh.
Anyhow the gist of the plot is this: Lion-O, with the curiosity befitting a feline, opens a huge metal box he and Snarf come across in a field. Lion-O displays his first serious bout of LFS when he ignores the *huge* danger signs stamped all over the container. Needless to say, he lets loose 3 of the worst inter-galactic felons, one of which is the oddly likable Quickpic. As you probably guessed, Quickpic is a pick-pocket and master escape artist. Naturally he makes off with the Sword of Omens as well Snarf's coin purse full of tri-centennial Thundera half-dollars and Jaga pennies....
Mandora, the space cop handling the transport of the crooks, shows up and berates Lion-O for his stupidity. Lion-O decides to redeem himself by helping her bring the escaped trio back into custody. That, and he has a vested interest in getting the SoO back.
After much struggle and frightful flights astride Mandora's Electra-charger, the baddies are collared and Lion-O and Snarf get their cherished belongings back.
"It'll be a crash course all right." --Snarf, in response to Mandora's announcement that she plans to give Lion-O a crash course in Electra-charger flying.
