The thing I loved about this episode was just how crafty Mumm-Ra came off. He completely fooled the T-Cats without overpowering them or using any kind of magic on them. He just changed his shape and put on the best acting performance he possibly could and it worked. Did anyone else think the giant insect that Pumm-Ra sent after Panthro looked like Mothra? Being a fan of Godzilla and other Japanese monsters, I always got a kick out of that. The scene where The Power of the Eye of Thundera turns on Pumm-Ra is actually one of my favorite in the series. We learn that the power of the Sword is incorruptable, and their are consequences to trying to use its power for evil. Jaga's presence and delivering that great quote made it even better. Speaking of Jaga, he appeared to Lion-O 3 times in this one. Lion-O must have really been screwing up huh?

PKELL -- his scheme was unfaily assisted by the fact that the Thundercats were dimwits. Seriously, they fell for 'Pumm-Ra'. If I were Mumm-ra, I would have just picked up one of those ray guns and shot Lion-O between the eyes and insisted that I didn't do it. They would have probably believed me.

leppardra This is another favorite of mine. However, Mumm-Ra first indicated in "The Unholy Alliance" tale that he'd been around for 1,000 years, so his confirmation of it here is redundant. As for the rayguns, "ThunderCats" isn't the first TV show to drop an idea in favor of something else. Lion-O's impatience was making itself known, so, yes, Jaga had to rein him in. What I wonder about is where the ThunderKittens were during all this commotion. Wouldn't they also have been affected by Pumm-Ra/Mumm-Ra trying to use the Sword, and come running to Lion-O's aid?

Nick I really enjoyed this episode, because (aside from the obvious), it showed what TCat fans have been talking about for many, many years-- Lion-O may have been the appointed leader of the TCats, but he still had the mind of an adolescent. When Tygra suggests that he should enter Cat's Lair since he is the architect, Lion-O rather childishly declares: "But I have the SWORD!!!" This prompts Jaga to inform the young leader that ingenuity is required, not bravery and strength. Basically, Jaga said: "Lion, quit acting like a b****!"
