If there had been more episodes made, he would have been back. Truth be told, the finale comes off like just another episode. There's no sense of finality about it at all; you're left feeling that if you tune in next week or the next day, the 'Cats will be there kicking Mumm-Ra all over New Thundera and then some. It makes me think they may have been pondering a new future ThunderCats series, but, as we all now know, fate had other plans. 12.02.2007, 23:44 leppardra I also have a peeve, albeit a small one, about the cat that came leaping out of the Eye of Thundera. I was disappointed; I was expecting something far more awesome than an average-sized black panther. Those red eyes it had gave it a satanic look, something I wouldn't have chosen for the ThunderCats' living emblem. Gold eyes would have been a much better color. And did you notice how in the end New Thundera got to look like Third Earth? I guess the 'Cats must have liked their adoptive planet more than we thought; they seemed to have modeled their New Thundera on it. 01.03.2007, 14:24 leppardra And then there's Mumm-Ra's comment: "There's more than one face of evil, Lion-O. You can never defeat us all." If this means what I think it does, Mumm-Ra never was an independent agent for evil; he was either the head of a whole group of evil-doers or he was just one facet of something much bigger and far more sinister. Either way, I don't think it would have led to Mumm-Ra's final destruction. Even if he had been destroyed, he would have come back. Of that I have no doubt. 20.04.2007, 12:41 azmom2624 Not to impun your comments Leppardra, but as the cougar was their sacred emblem and as almost all of them had reddish eyes, it did seem to fit, at least it did to me. Actually, I thought the cougar jumping out of the symbol was freaking cool! As for Mumm-ra's comment about "You can never defeat us all." I think the writer was trying to stress that although good will prevail, evil will never die, something that children needed to understand. I also think that is was good that the writers left the ending wide open, it let us use our imaginations to think of what could happen afterwards. Just look at all the fan fics that have come out of it! And I'm not just talking about the ones with OC's; I'm also speaking of the ones with the Canon characters too. I have seen fan fics that run along the same idea as the show that I would have loved to see as an ep. Noted, Overgard was often off his rocker, but I think he did pretty well with this last ep. 25.07.2007, 13:50 Cougar All in all, this was a very good episode, but I'm sure EVERYONE would agree that the ThunderCats' series finale would have been a five-star ep if Tygra and Pumyra, and even Jaga, have made an appearance. 09.05.2008, 20:32 Syberius Yep, Tygra and Pumyra should have been in the finale. I would have been happy if it was just on a viewscreen for a few seconds. Still, I did enjoy this last episode which somewhat bookends the first episode with New Thundera now being in danger of being destroyed. I guess you can say the series has come full circle. Some of it though just doesn't make a whole lot of sense, like the danger of the Thundercats being frozen in time if they don't complete their mission? Huh? WTF? The final battle between Mumm-Ra and Lion-O was good and the fact that they fought each other hand to hand instead of with weapons was a plus.
