2005 Update Log

My apologies if some of these links no longer work, but I'm prone to shuffle things around in the site and won't always update this log to reflect the changes.

December 12, 2005
One more small update to conclude the S1V2 release: finished all screen caps, so the gallery got yet more updating. I also included a new gallery for registered users only, that includes shots from the S1V2 special feature.
Likewise, the Fan Reviews got their remaining galleries posted so that Season One is complete. That'll do it for now!

December 10, 2005
I'm creatively devoid of inspiration tonight, so I tinkered with more updates here. I got disc 9 captured, so the gallery got some updating.
On a related note, some of the Fan Reviews got their galleries posted.

December 8, 2005
With the coming of S1V2 dvd pack, I bring you some related updates. First, the gallery got some updating. I've only done the first 2 of the 6 discs, so more will come eventually. Still, there's hundreds of new DVD quality captures to look at, comment on, or send an ecard with. Enjoy.
On a related note, the Fan Reviews and Dictionary got image updates.
Of course, the DVD info area gained a new page for this last part of season 1, featuring info and scans of the packaging.

I am very pleased to add the first interview to the site, this one featuring insight courtesy of Dennis Woodyard. At least 3 more interviews are in the works from other Tcats insiders, so keep watching this space for updates.

I updated the Thunder Links with a few more sites to visit, and also added a button to the footer and banner to the affiliates page that you can use to help this site out financially. See the updated FAQ for details on how this works.

I noticed there's a new member in the ThunderArt gallery that has added their art so check it out.

I also noticed TCLadyLea has added more fan fiction to the archive. I did note that the smart quotes came out fine in her upload so it's definitely just older stories that got snagged by the question mark glitch in the move. Remember, if you haven't fixed your old entries, it's as easy to mend as submitting a fresh upload - no editing required, even.

I hope to get to the last 4 DVDs in the coming weeks. I also want to make the Dictionary a priority to add to/finish since the ep guides are finally done. And of course, I still plan to get back to my creative side. There's still much to add and do here so keep coming back to check on things...and feel free to comment or help out. Until next time...

December 1, 2005
First of all, the site has moved! The url is just a tad different. If you want to change your links and bookmarks, that's fine. But I have kept my old domain and left redirects there, so whatever is cool with me. The move was inspired by way more bandwidth for less. So I hope, after monitoring things when the next DVD set comes out, to be able to offer you more. Do note that if you didn't heed my warning on the main page of the old location, and added anything to the site such as fic, art, comments, etc afterward, you'll have to re-upload here as I made a cut off for backing up the databases. Sorry for any inconveniences.
The message board is back up and running and I've also added a few things to the site as we celebrate the new hosting:

The Ep Guide area got some more attention. The Fan guide is now completely finished thanks to the addition of Frogman. I also reworked a few things in that section and posted a brand new area. This page offers up short and sweet - and non-snarky/opinion laden - synopsis on all 130 episodes.

Next, I added a few more wallpapers to the site.

The Thunderpoll is new, so go vote/comment. The old poll also got archived. Thanks for voting.

A kind soul donated a few banners.

I posted a new pic in the ThunderArt gallery, as have some other folks. I did notice Red and Tara added things to it on the old site before I posted my warning, but I couldn't update the db again due to coppermine software upgrade on this site w/o catastrophic consequences, so those gals will have to re-upload those items. Sorry for the inconvenience! Do note that users at that gallery have increased disc space - up to 10mb each now - to fill, so I hope to see more great art soon.

It's worth noting that all the galleries run on Coppermine got a software upgrade so there are some neat features to check out. In addition, the fan fiction area also got a software upgrade and again with increased features. That one has a few kinks to iron out yet, but overall it's functioning well.

Of course, if you run across anything not working or otherwise wonky, please let me know. It was a lot of stuff to move and though I tried to check everything, I'm sure I didn't click on every single link on the site. Thanks for helping ;)

As promised, even if a tad late ;), the big content update!

First of all, the Ep Guide area saw some nice updates. I am waiting on one more synopsis but otherwise, the fan reviews are finished at long last. It only took four years! Very special thanks to the fans who contributed, or it could very well have taken a few more years. Also, the scripts page got some great additions, including scans of those scripts used in the studio by the voice actors.

The fan fic area has had stories added from new and familiar authors to the archive alike, and the Thunderart gallery has had many nice updates since the site was last updated.

Updated the credits page and site history page so that they are now current. The Overview page also got a slight update so that the dvd info was up to date.

In the print media area, I added some nice extras to the wildstorm area in the form of inked Return art. I also added more pages to print and color to the coloring book section. Lastly, the activity book page got updated with more scans to view or print out for your enjoyment.

I added some items to the Merchandise area.

Downloads got a couple additions, too. First, adrianna let me add several of her awesome wallpapers to that page, as well as a few of my meager attempts. On the clips page, I made & added two video shorts ripped from the show Family Guy that either mentioned or featured the Thundercats. Very amusing!

Finally (phew), I was inspired by Cheezey and her amusing concept on her Voltron site to do something I call the No Contrivance Club. Have a sense of humor and join, ok?

As a final note, this is probably the last content heavy update I'm going to do in a while as I want to get back to why I even started this site - which is fan fic and art. I need to get back in that creative groove for a bit.
That's not to say there won't be regular updates here or any new content added (yes, those interviews are still forthcoming, and Jaga knows I need to finish the Dictionary, bring back the contest page, and update the games, skins, etc etc) but they're just going to the back burner for a bit instead of that burner being full of fic time after time. I'm writing an epic that at least a few of you follow and I'd like to finish it! And since getting a staff is probably not going to happen (haha, I wish!), this is the way it's going to have to work out.

October 18, 2005
This is part 1 of a big update coming your way:
First, I'm sure you've noticed the new menus, re-organization of the site, and updated main graphics on the site. I am aware of some issues with the pop-up menus and other collapsible menus on some pages (such as in the video download areas) and I'll get to that. I appreciate your patience as I work out the layout bugs. If you find something else funky, do let me know.
The next update will be more content intensive.

I now own and run the Thundercats Fan List. Please check it out and join, as it's pretty fair to say this site will be its home for quite some time.

A installed a new buy, sell, trade forum (and deleted the old one in the merchandise gallery), and updated the site's FAQ to reflect these changes.

I fixed the affiliates page by taking out some outdated links and adding a few new ones. I also updated the disclaimer page of the site.

Finally, there are a few new links to check out.

September 10, 2005
Chat archive update! Larry Kenney stopped by the chatroom last night for a chat. If you missed it, check out the archive.

I also updated the dvd page a bit with updated info on the Season 1, Vol 2 release and also news on an upcoming UK version.

Finally, fixed the background image so that it shows up. Wonder of wonders!

September 2, 2005
Biggest of all are the changes in the fan Episode Guide. First of all, it was moved and reformatted, hopefully for the last time. It also got the sequence re-arranged to match the running order of the DVDs. In addition, I added a portion of script which allows visitors to easily offer up their own opinions of each episode - so use it, dammit ;) I re-did all the captures, too, so that every ep out on DVD has nice crisp galleries. Others will gain their galleries as the DVDs come out. Finally, I added 6 new episodes to the guide. Edging ever-closer to finally finishing! Yay.

New to the site is a page for activity books from back in the day. Page includes fun pages you can print and do.

The image gallery is up-to-date with DVD captures as I completed capping Vol. 1 - certain galleries, such as Enemies and Allies, all gained helpful identifying descriptions as well. In addition, I fixed all the links to the individual galleries in the site map and simple nav menu.

I managed to finish fixing the dictionary page, image-wise. Of course, those entries that don't have a clear DVD capture image to offer will just have to wait until those discs come out. For now, they simply have no image offered. Thanks for your patience!

The chat room has been re-routed to my afternet channel, #TEBchatorama. The web master of Eye of Thundera also pointed his room to the same channel so there's actually traffic in there at certain times of the day. We may end up scheduling regular chats, and don't forget - Larry Kenney will be our guest of honor a week from today! See this thread on the message board for details and guidelines.

Tara has added more ThunderArt to her gallery, and a new contributor, blackzig, has contributed a rather nice piece as well.

Once again there have been more fan fiction uploaded to the archive if you haven't noticed already. Unfortunately, my stuff wasn't among the updates, but darnit, next time - I hope!

ThunderLinks once again saw the addition of a new link.

August 19, 2005
Another partial update that shoulda been larger, heh heh:

New to the site is an area for visitors to buy, sell and trade stuff. Read the rules and be nice. Dammit. Check it out in the merchandise area, here. The FAQ was updated with related information.

The UK Star Comics section saw much updating - 2 pages are actually complete as I've finally collected all the books for those areas.

The image gallery has gotten an overhaul. You may have noticed over the last few days, the deletion of the old and in with brand new caps right from the dvd. I apologize for the deletion of ecards and comments, but I hope the bigger and clearer pics make up for it. I got half the first dvd set done - the first 3 discs - and hope to finish it up soon. Keep checking for more great captures.

Of course, the deletion of the old captures has caused some broken images elsewhere in the site. I've been trying to fix that starting with the dictionary page. Some pics are from the French book and I went to a knew thumbnail system. I'll be working on fixing the capture-based pics soon.

Since the officially sanctioned whv page has been found to contain some misinformation and inaccuracies, I've decided to take it down and provide my own page on the subject - complete with scans, captures and plenty of info. Be sure to also sound off in the new Thunderpoll or on the message board if you've an opinion on the season 1, vol 1 release. We'd love to hear what you think!
I also updated the calendar with season 1, vol 2's release date.

Queen Lynxana has graced this site with another piece of art in the ThunderArt area.

Fans keep the contributions coming in the fan fiction archive. Spaced Angel and tcladylea have added things since the last update.

ThunderLinks also been updated with a few fresh links.

Lastly, the contest area is down for the moment, but I hope to bring it back new and improved soon. However, those of you on my newsletter - get ready for a really (I hope) fun opportunity to win something really unique. And it's just for you!
Episode guide stuff and my own fan fiction are moving to the top of the list for the next update, so stay tooned! :-p

August 2, 2005
Exactly a month later, I update once again. It's a big one...and I have lots more to add. This'll have to do for now:

Warner Bros marketing contacted me and asked me to host some offically sanctioned info and files for the upcoming DVD. It's only a week away (SQUEEE) so if you haven't pre-ordered or want some official info on the packaging and such, check out the new page for it. Of course, if you are a member of my newsletter, you were privy to this info days ago!

I created several wallpapers, courtesy of some new stuff I came into.

I have revamped the Print Media area to include all the char sheet links and stuff. I also added a new page to that area, thanks to a great ebay find. The new Cosmocats page features select items from a book from France that's almost like a Tcats bible. My newsletter subscribers will get a special additional thing related to this. Speaking of which, I put up a sign up box on the main page.

Once again, fans have been updating and adding stuff to the fic and art archives. Spaced Angel and tcladylea have added or updated things, and Myra, with her writing partner, have posted a brand new fic for you to enjoy. Head on over to the fan fic archive and read on.
ThunderArt has some new pieces from Tara and LethyGNR since the last update.

I tweaked the awards page for the Cheering Purrsia, and finally awarded some sites that had submitted their work for an award. See who won what on the winners page. I also weeded out former winners whose site's are now gone. Hopefully, I'll have a new award graphic, soon. Some areas of this site have been so neglected, I know!

I've also updated and added to the Cat's Tale page with recent/different pics and up-to-date info.

ThunderLinks has one new addition - a brand new site dedicated to Lion-O. Huzzah!

July 2, 2005
The site turns 4 this month! YAY! And in celebration, I have the first part of a whopper of an update ready to roll:

The FAQ has been added to and revised. It is also important to note that due to an official release of Thundercats eps pending, I will no longer advocate avi trading or p2p - including the TCAVI group - on this site any longer. I tried to delete all references to the group.
Speaking of tweaking things, I did finally fix the goofs in the blueprints and character sheet areas. I think all is loading right, now.

Many new wallpapers are up.

The Episode Guide area saw some decent expansion as well as the menu page getting a much-needed update/makeover. Thanks to some auctions won and a few good trades, I've added some documents there which supply information and more official synopses of the first season, anyway.

The fans have been contributing regularly since last update as well. A new author, ladyleatc, has added her fan fic to the archives.
Additionally, the ThunderArt area is still booming with new work almost daily. I've also taken occassion to go through my own gallery and finally add titles and descriptions, which were lost when the gallery was hacked back in December. I also added an older piece back into the collection as it seems I'd forgotten to before. Better late than never?

I won an auction for some Rankin-Bass archival ads, art elements, etc, and have peppered them throughout the site - some in existing areas, and some got brand spanking new space to call their own.
--A new area for Ads & Clippings is up.
--Another new area was made for the art elements I gained.
--A few new scans were added to the promo sheet page.
--I added a list of all the official licensees for the vintage Tcats merchandise to the menu page for the merchandise area. It might prove useful to collectors.

I took occassion to update my music page, if anyone cares.

Lastly, I updated the ThunderLinks with some new links, fixed links, and shuffled a few, too.

May 29, 2005
Since so much fan stuff has been added, plus I came into some more material to add, I took a few days to prepare the following updates for ya:

I posted more character sheets (mostly minor characters and critters) and blueprints, including some awesome floor-by-floor diagrams of Cat's Lair.

I also came into 4 more scripts from the show so I added exerpts to that area of the site.

In my net surfing adventures, I've snagged more pics of Thundercats items of interest and so posted them to the merchandise gallery.

It's also worth noting that the ever-prolific and talented Spaced Angel has added no less than three additional fan fics to the archives since the last site update.

Additionally, the ThunderArt area has had a very nice influx of new members since I last updated who have added their lovely art. Adrianna, Red Lioness, and Tara have all graced this site with their work.

May 18, 2005
I seriously don't know what's got into me lately, but I keep tweaking the site. Today I tinkered with a few more pages.

I fixed the link on my desktop theme page that lead to the theme author's site. The old one was slightly wonky, so now you should be able to visit his wonderful homepage in all its proper splendor.

I updated the FAQ with a site-related question about my policy on hosting things not made by me.

The site map got a few link additions/changes to reflect recent changes on the overall site.

May 17, 2005
Thanks to Prokopis and his efforts to save the bulk of the downloads section from exile, I have restored all the yummy downloadable files ^_^ Have at it!

I also tweaked and updated the TCAVI page and the group's description, too.

May 15, 2005
Just one small thing. I finally found a large image of the upcoming dvd box set, so I tossed it and info about it in the merchandise area.

May 10, 2005
Yep, more fan fic is up. This time, I've added to Signal in the Sky, and we have more contributions from Spaced Angel and Tom Taz as well. Check it out.

The FAQ saw some tweaking, mainly having to do with where to get videos given the DVD news.

The downloadable media files are back down - AGAIN. Ugh, bandwidth has been a real bear. The videos and clips are the biggest culprit, so I'm going to have to find some sort of offsite solution. In the meantime, Sorry!

I put up more LJ icons seems how I'm finding photoshop far too much fun lately.

There is more ThunderArt in the gallery as well, from myself, Tom Taz and LethyGNR.

Since Radric was cool enough to send me the French set of DVDs, I took DVD quality screen caps and slapped them up in the miscellaneous section of the image archive. Enjoy.

Lastly, the Thunder Links page was updated. I took out broken links, and added a few sites to the list as well as bumped the Eye of Thundera site up into my Purrfect Picks.

April 23, 2005
Finally! A big batch of updates for ya.
Yep, more fan fic is up. Spaced Angel has made contributions to the archives since last update. I also put up a new rating system for the fics. Check it out.

I added a new section to the episodes section that boasts the production order of the episodes. I also added a portion related to it that has scans from scripts from the show.

The downloadable media files are back up - sorta - and so I also added a new video from Sailor Terra.

I've also added to the print media area. A new book has been posted, and so have more UK comics.

The character sheet page got a rework so that only sheets for characters are there, and a few got moved to a new area sporting blueprint-like scans of building interiors, ships, and other non-character items from the show.

I have posted icons made by another LJ user up for download. The set includes some really fun animated gifs.

Two more new members have joined ThunderArt gallery and contributed some nice work since last update...definitely worth a look!

Another wallpaper from David Lima has been added for your enjoyment.

Finally, the site's calendar has been updated with the release date of the official Tcats DVD. Order your copies in advance today!

March 21, 2005
Yeah, it's still not everything I'd intended it to be, but I finally put up some of the Tcats stuff that has been piling up. And that includes:
More fan fic. Notably, Spaced Angel and RD have made contributions to the archives since last update. Check it out.

I added a new page to the site that covers the site's history in the form of screen caps of times gone by.

The FAQ has had more updates.

I've also added many items to the merchandise area.

I updated ThunderLinks and affiliates pages a bit.

Also having additions is the LJ mood and icon page, as I put up more icon packs.

Finally, I have noticed two new members in the ThunderArt gallery - and they've added nice art, too!

February 27, 2005
It's not the major part two of my update, but I did add plain text menuing along the bottom of every page for those of you who can't bring yourselves to use IE.

February 24, 2005
I've decided to break this update into two parts, presenting the first part to you today:
I've noticed Spaced Angel and Knight Writer have both added fan fic to the archive since the last update. I also updated the look of the archive, as well as all the coppermine image and art galleries.

The results of 2004 Fandom Awards are posted. Thanks to all who have voted! Along the same lines, I updated my own awards page and also gave out a Cheering Purrsia to a deserving site.

The FAQ and Overview pages have been updated with exciting DVD news.

I also added a brand new section to the site which covers the merchandise such as toys, games, apparel, etc surrounding the show.

I updated my music page a bit.

Finally, I added many new or updated links to the ThunderLinks page.

January 23, 2005
Nothing really too new, other than some fan fic in the archives by some fine contributors...and a HUGE site wide overhaul. Gone are the frames. Let me know if there's any wonky pages and definitely, let me know what you think!

January 17, 2005
First update of the new year!

Most importantly, in case you didn't already notice, I finally got both the image gallery And the ThunderArt back up and running. You will need to re-register as the restoration after the santy worm attack wasn't complete - data was lost.

Do check out the Fandom Awards. Nominations are underway for the 2004 awards, so if you'd like to participate, now is the time.

Speaking of participation, I've a new contest up and the theme is ThunderCats 20th airing anniversary.

I updated the ThunderLinks page by weeding out dead links and updating some others.

I also made a new wallpaper to commemorate the Tcats anniversary.

Use the site map to navigate if the drop down menu fails.
