Herb Englehardt Reviewed by: Purrsia  Cheetara, at the Lair, and Lynx-O, at the Tower of Omens, are getting strange feelings and vibes of evil that no one else can detect. Lion-O uses the Sword's powers of Second Sight but can only tell that "something" is out there, but now what it is exactly. Dun-duh-DUN! Cut to the Black Pyramid where Mumm-Ra is meeting with the Berzerkers. After begging the ASOE for the power to return the forces of evil to their glory, he's given an urn. He uses the item to enchance the Berzerkers' armaments by tossing it into the cauldron and ordering the Berzerkers to jump in; all so they will have the power to take the Tower of Omens. With their weapons coated in Thundrainium, the Berzerkers are set to attack. After rescuing a trapped unicorn, Pumyra falls prey to the waiting Berzerkers. They decide to use her for bait to trap the others. They let her stumble back to the Tower so that when Bengali rushes out to her aid, he can be ambushed. Though he manages to escape with Pumyra thanks to a smoke screen and board the waiting Thunderstrike with Lynx-O, their escape is thwarted by the Berzerkers. The radio is out so Lynx-O signals the Lair with his light shield. Seeing the flare of sorts, Lion-O uses the Sword to confirm the trouble the others are in. Though he sees Bengali take off in one of the Strike pods with Pumyra, Lynx-O is left behind at the mercy of the Berzerkers. He and Tygra run off to help, leaving Snarf and the Thunderkittens to mind the Lair. Mumm-Ra is pleased to see them leave the Lair and has Ma-Mutt tip off the Lunataks that the time is right to strike Cats Lair. Meanwhile, Lynx-O hears Sky Tomb pass and frantically tries to repair the radio so he can warn Lion-O. The Berzerkers have abandoned trying to break into the Thunderstrike to get to Lynx-O in favor of shooting down Bengali and Pumyra. They eventually crash, and Bengali sends Pumyra out telling her to try to get back to the Tower while he holds off the Berzerkers. Lynx-O also decides to try to make a run for the Tower but is confronted by 2 Berzerkers who pretty much blast what's left of the Thunderstrike. The debris, however, strikes one of the Berzerkers as well as Lynx-O. Luckily, Lion-O and Tygra show up just in time. When their lasers fail to put a dent in the Berzerkers' armor, they guess they're armed with Thundrainium. Lion-O decides to use their vehicles to circle above to create a vortex in the hopes of rubbing the Thundrainium off the Berzerkers' armor. It works >.o Once the Berzerkers realize they don't have super powerful weaponry, they run cursing Mumm-Ra all the while. However, Lynx-O is gravely injured and despite Pumyra's healing efforts he seems doomed. Then Jaga appears and tells Lion-O to use the Sword to heal Lynx-O. It works >.o Once Lynx-O comes to, he remembers about Sky Tomb and the others immediately worry about the Lair. But when they call to warn the kittens, it's too late - Alluro is already there and has them and Snarf under his control. Alluro attempts to control those at the Tower with his powers, but Lion-O and Tygra merely prentend to be in a trance. Mumm-Ra, spying in his cauldron, is totally pleased. However, it's not for long for when Lion-O and Tygra reach the Lair they make short work of Alluro and his crew. All thanks to the foresight of using ear plugs so they wouldn't be lulled by Alluro's voice. Bengali demonstrates a neat trick with the Hammer of Thundera. Pulling the handle down, he reveals several orbs inside in what reminded me of a Pez dispenser. Flipping out one of the orbs, he struck it mid-air with the hammer which provided a smoke screen. "It's like a bomb went off in my head." - Cheetara, describing what the strong reading from her sixth sense felt like. "No thanks, I had a bath two months ago." - A Berzerker declining Mumm-Ra's invitation to take a dip in the cauldron. "Lay her out to catch bigger fish - caaaaatfish." - Hammerhand, discussing the uses of the newly captured Pumyra. comment system disabled temporarily thanks to spam happy assholes!
