Mumm-Ra summons Alluro of the Lunatacs to his pyramid to show him something in the cauldron, a trinket known as the Egora Talisman. Mumm-Ra explains that the holder of the talisman becomes supremely self-confident, to the point of being invinceable. Mumm-Ra tells this to Alluro because he (and the rest of us) believes that Alluro deserves to be the leader of the Lunatacs instead of Luna. Mumm-Ra then tells Alluro that once he’s the leader of the Lunatacs, that the two of them will rule Third Earth together. Alluro agrees to this and goes out to find the talisman in Dark Side. While he’s leaving, Mumm-Ra whispers to Ma-Mutt that once they have the Egora Talisman, he will turn Alluro into dog food.
Meanwhile, Alluro goes out in search of the Talisman, when suddenly, Ma-Mutt arrives and begins chewing on his pant leg. Alluro gets annoyed of this and uses his psych-club on Ma-Mutt to make the pooch roll over and play dead. Alluro then continues on his search for the talisman. Nearby, Lion-O and Snarf overhear what Alluro is planning and Lion-O uses the sword to call Lynx-O, Pumyra, and Bengali to him. Once there, the five venture to Dark Side in the Thunderstrike to find Alluro. They find the cave where the talisman is, but they are too late, as Alluro has beaten them there and retrieved the Egora Talisman.
He then uses his psych-club to freeze Lion-O, Lynx-O, Pumyra, and Bengali in their tracks and then leaves in the Ice Runner. However, since Lynx-O can’t see the light from the psych club, Alluro’s power over him fades after he leaves and since Snarves are unaffected, Snarf is able to help Lynx-O load the other 3 ‘Cats into the Thunderstrike and they head back to the Lair to tell the others what’s happened.
At the Lair, the ‘Cats realize that with the Egora Talisman in Alluro’s possession, he is indeed invinceable. Lynx-O then exclaims that the fact that he is blind may be to the ‘Cats advantage, since even though he can hear Alluro, he can’t see the light from the psych-club. Lynx-O then volunteers to get the talisman away from Alluro himself, but Panthro won’t let the old cat do it by himself and insists he comes along.
Later, Lynx-O and Panthro are in the Thunderstrike on the hunt for Alluro, but the Lunatac is above them in the Ice Runner. He turns on the psych-club and does his things. The two ‘Cats are able to resist at first, and Lynx-O tries to deflect the light back at Alluro with his wrist mirror, but when Alluro increases the psych-club’s power, the mirror shatters and Alluro’s voice is then able to overcome Lynx-O, and Panthro as well.
Later, at the Lair, Alluro has enslaved all of the Thundercats in his power, except for Snarf. Snarf tries to get the others to snap out of their daze, but it’s no use. Snarf then seees Alluro land the Ice Runner nearby and decides to go meet him himself. Snarf arrives at the Ice Runner with all of the Thundercats’ weapons, but Alluro is nowhere to be found. Snarf climbs into the cockpit and finds the Egora Talisman……in the glove compartment of all places!
Alluro then arrives to get the talisman back from Snarf with the help of the psych-club, but since Snarf has the talisman, he becomes super self-confident and kicks Alluro’s ass with Panthro’s nunchucks, Tygra’s whip, the kids’ pelets, and Lion-O’s sword. He even manages to destroy the psych-club with the nunchucks. After a few blasts with the sword, Alluro runs off like a little bitch. Back at the Lair, the ‘Cats have all returned to their senses, thanks to Alluro’s psych-club being smashed. Snarf opens the Egora Talisman box to see what it looks like, but it turns out that the talisman was destroyed during the fight, meaning that Snarf beat Alluro all by himself. WTF?
Purrsia's Two Cents:
OMG this was just lame. I grant this episode the honor of the first WTF Award due to an overload of cringeworthiness. I mean, Snarf defeats Alluro?? I so do not think so!
Unfortunately, this is the first ep in an upcoming batch that goes to ridiculous lengths to "prove" that yes, Snarves are useful afterall! Gagworthy.
