Bruce Smith Reviewed by: Purrsia ![]() This episode begins ordinarily enough - Panthro is just on his way back from picking up a load of Thundrillium in the ThunderTank. The problem? He unwittingly flattened a tiny village in the grass. The little people who populate the village are enraged and vow this will be the last time the rampaging giants destroy their homes. Meanwhile, Lion-O is out and about. He decides to enjoy some fruit under a tree and dozes off. In a Gulliver's Travels-type scenario, he awakes to find himself in the grips of thin strands that are all but unbreakable - they're made of Thundrainium. He's stunned to realize those responsible are tiny people called Micrits. They announce that they're holding him prisoner out of anger and frustration and that they plan to disable Cats Lair and the ThunderTank so the destruction will stop. Lion-O tries to reason with them to no avail. As night falls, Snarf is worried about Lion-O. So he sets off to find him. While Snarf is searching, the Micrits have entered the Lair and proceded to sabotage it, the Tank, and steal all the ThunderCats weapons. Their philosophy is if the Thundercats can't fight, then they can't continue to war with the Mutants - somehow the little guys figure this will bring them peace. Maybe if they bothered to sabotage the Mutants too! Speaking of the Mutants, they notice when the Lair loses power, and Slithe declares the time is right to attack. Though miffed at where in the heck Lion-O could be in their time of need, the other 'Cats do their best to defend the Lair without power or personal weapons. Finally, Snarf happens upon Lion-O. But Snarf doesn't have any luck getting Lion-O free. They do manage to free the Sword of Omens enough for Lion-O to call it to his hand. Though he signaled the others, they have their hands full and can't come to his aid. Finally, the Micrits let Lion-O go - and take the others' weapons with him - but he has to leave Snarf for a ransom of sorts. The Mutants are all smug until Lion-O shows up. Needless to say, the tide turns quickly. Afterwards, Lion-O rushes back to get Snarf who wasn't in any real danger - he was playing a game of chess with a Micrit with other Micrits serving as the pieces! At the end, the Thundercats post signs around the Micrits' village so that they'll always know not to drive the Tank through there. saltygirl: another ep where it was pretty solid animation throughout. & i liked that eventho lion-o used the sword to summon the thundercats while he was *ahem* stuck under a tree in napping position, they were being held up & attacked @ cat's lair. coolness PKELL: This was another enjoyable episode, but nothing special. The idea of tiny people getting accidentally caught in the crossfire between the Thundercats and the Mutants is pretty interesting, and the Mutants get some more comedic work here.
