Not bad, but not fabulotastic neither...

In this episode, the Thunderkittens' are up to their curious adventures again. This one lands them inside an underground cavern where they come upon a golden harp. Strumming it, they find a genie emerges who promises to serve them as their new master by granting them three wishes. Their first wish is to get the heck outta that cavern. *Poof* Granted!

All this activity stirs Mumm-Ra from his rest. Seeing the trio in his cauldron, he hatches a plan. He quickly disguises himself as a Balkan and heads to the Lair. The Thunderkittens let the "Balkan" traveller in and quickly find themselves hypnotized by the mummy-in-disguised. They lead him to where they hid the harp, and Mumm-Ra proceeds to strike a deal with the genie, Charr-Nin - do his bidding and he'll free the genie from his prison. The deal struck, Mumm-Ra disappears and the kittens snap out of the trance.

Later, the kittens present Lion-O with the harp as a gift and encourage him to strum it and make a wish. Upon doing so, Charr-Nin does appear but when Lion-O makes his wish the Lord of the Thundercats disappears. Alarmed, the twins demand to know where Lion-O disappeared to. Charr-Nin agrees to show them, and they're appalled to find Lion-O bound at the center of Third Earth. Before they can react, Charr-Nin uses the kittens' lariats to bind them as well.

To give Lion-O time to struggle to grab the Sword of Omens sheathed at his side, the kittens challenge Charr-Nin with a task: they bet him he cannot bring them back a snake bird. Eager to prove his power, the genie disappears and Lion-O manages to get his mighty paw on the Sword's hilt. Charr-Nin returns quickly. Lion-O surprises him by using the Sword to break free and summon the others. A battle ensues and when the others arrive, they too try to take on the genie. But Charr-Nin proves too powerful by turning their weapons against them. It seems the Thundercats are soundly defeated.

Mumm-Ra shows up to gloat. But when Charr-Nin asks him to hold up his end of the bargain by setting him free, Mumm-Ra balks. Angry, Charr-Nin uses his powers against Mumm-Ra. But since both are pretty evenly matched, they only succeed in causing a cave-in of the cavern they're in. Lucky for the Thundercats, Charr-Nin's fight with Mumm-Ra weakens his magical hold on them and their bonds slowly release. They manage to escape in the Thunder Tank just in time.

Once above ground, the Thundercats pat themselves on the back for working together so well and figure Mumm-Ra was destroyed in the cave-in. However, shortly after they leave the scene old bone bag bursts from the ground. Can't kill the undead, doncha know. Silly cats.

PKELL: This episode was ok, but was also too similar to previous eps. For example, Mongor had an almost identicle plot and story. Like I said, its a pretty typical ep, but I have to say I loved the last seconds of the episode where Mumm-Ra explodes out of the ground and fire covers the background while he yells "MUMM-RA LIVES!!!_ It was a great moment for Mumm-Ra, and one of the show's greatest visuals.
