Not bad, but not fabulotastic neither...

This episode centers around one of Vultureman's great inventions - the Voice Imitator! To test the invention Vultureman uses the device to imitate Mumm-Ra's voice to rouse a slumbering Slithe. To ward off Slithe's skepticism, Vultureman proceeds to flaunt the invention's power by using it on the unsuspecting Thunderkittens. By coming over their intercoms in Tygra's voice, Vultureman tricks the Kittens into going to the Vortex - which they were near anyway - where they get into quite a bit of trouble when the winds prove more powerful than they can handle. Intrigued, Slithe encourages Vultureman to continue with the charade.

The next victim is Cheetara, who is coaxed into a giant beehive under the impression Snarf was in trouble within. Little does she know, but Monkian is waiting to attack and, pardon the pun, the situation gets sticky. Next, Tygra is tricked into falling into a pit where a giantor is waiting, ready to smash him to bits. For Panthro, the Mutants draw him to the Castle with its tractor beam and take the burly one prisoner after zapping him and the tank with some pretty powerful rays.

Lion-O is warned by the Sword of his friends' plight but since so many are in trouble at once, it's hard to decide which to rescue first. Deciding on the Kittens, he helps them escape the Vortex. After they're safe, Lion-O surmises from what they tell him that something is amiss.

In the meantime, Tygra escapes the Giantor and is off to the beehive to aid Cheetara. Concerned for Panthro, Lion-O heads to Castle Plundarr where he summons the other 'Cats to his aid. With the help of one of the giant bees from the hive Cheetara was trapped in, Lion-O manages to find where Panthro is being held and frees him.

The Mutants move in for attack but Vultureman, gripping his Voice Imitator, is partially frozen by the 'cats. However, Monkian still manages to knock the Sword of Omens from Lion-O's hand allowing Slithe to step in and hold a cross bow on the unarmed Lord. The Thundercats are shocked and at a loss for what to do next...that is until the ThunderTank - though slightly irratic - bursts in causing the Mutants to scatter. The mystery drivers turn out to be WilyKit and WilyKat.

However, the mission is not over. As a payback, Panthro swipes the Voice Imitator from the helpless Vultureman and procedes to use it against the fleeing Mutants. Imitating Vultureman's voice, he gives the Mutants flight coordinates that cause them to crash into one another.

In the lighthearted ending, the adults lament their hard earned lesson to call for back-up before rushing into a situation and the Kittens use the Voice Imitator to give Snarf a scare.
