What's weird about this place is, it was a Third Earth locale for "Totem of Dera" but in the "Book of Omens" episode, it's on New Thundera. Er...

Also the location where the coveted Candy Fruit is grown.
Black Pyramid
Alliance
Stronghold of Evil (Mumm-Ra)
Description
This is the ad the ASOE threaten to run the next time Mumm-Ra screws up:
This is the "cozy" little piece of ancient Egypt where Mumm-Ra lived. Amenities include a sarcophogus, a bubbling cauldron that lets you spy on people (we wouldn't recommend swimming in it though, as tepid is putting it mildly), and 4 huge antique statues that have the power to transform you into a terrifying force of evil. Smells like formaldahyde and rotted flesh. Located in the Desert of Sinking Sands. Frequent lightning and cobwebs a plus.
Other Information
Mummsie's abode is first shown in "Unholy Alliance", but another version of it shows up on New Thundera as well.
Bottomless Chasm 1
Bottomless Chasm 2
Alliance
Locations (Third Earth)
Description
The first place termed the "bottomless chasm" was found near Hook Mountain, as shown in "Lord of the Snows". Later on, in "Spitting Image", there was another bottomless chasm featured but it was in desert terrain. So either there are two like-named locations on Third Earth, or there's a sizable crack running through it.
Other Information
Snowman and Panthro both took a spill in each chasm, respectively, but also conveniently, didn't die. The second, desert terrain chasm has the neat feature of rays of light that rumble up and out every few minutes, which presents a new challenge when you're trying to get out of it.
Bridge of Light
Alliance
Tool of Good (Third Earth)
Description
When a crystal is placed within a stone platform on the river's edge, a brilliant light bridge forms. It affords travellers safe passage from the Black Widow Shark when crossing the River of Dispair.
Other Information
Debuted in "The Time Capsule" and featured in a few other episodes thereafter.
Bridge of Slime
Alliance
Location (Third Earth)
Description
This slimy arch is the only way to get to the cave of the Netherwitch.

C
Castle Plun-Darr (open)
Castle Plun-Darr (closed)
Alliance
Stronghold of Evil (Mutant)
Description
The Mutants' creepy little fortress. Vultureman's got it chock full of neat little items of defense/deception/torture. It's located in a dreary, swampy portion of Third Earth, and it's surrounded by a phosphor moat. The wing-like structures on the outside can fold in and shield the castle as a protective measure.
Other Information
As if the Mutants would stoop to do manual labor. They enslaved gentle but strong creatures called Brutemen to do the work of constructing the Castle. Castle Plundarr came into being in the ep "Slaves of Castle Plun-Darr".
Cat's Lair (Third Earth Version)
Cat's Lair (New Thundera Version)
Alliance
Stronghold of Good (ThunderCat)
Description
The Lair is the ThunderCats well-fortified fortress. It's nestled within the protective walls of a cliff, with a moat out front for good measure. It's got a plethora of defenses, but the most used seems to be the laser beams shot from the eyes of the head.
Other Information
The original Lair was designed by Tygra. It was constructed over the course of two episodes, "Berbils" and "Slaves of Castle Plun-Darr".
After their permanent move to New Thundera, another Lair was built of a slightly different design, and Snarf labor was laregly employed to complete it. Given Tygra wasn't around much at this point, one has to wonder if he too designed this one or not.
Cave of Time
Alliance
Third Earth Locale
Description
Near the badlands, this is a cave that holds mystical powers that unnaturally age the unaware traveler. Tygra, ever the perpetual victim, fell prey to its powers in the "Trouble of Time" episode. It was also key in the "Time Switch" episode, when it was necessary to age the infant Lion-O back to his adult size.
Other Information
The cave's so-called vaginal looking entrance has been a topic of discussion for the more perverted/bored fans over the years.
Crystal Kingdom
Alliance
Stronghold of Evil (Third Earth)
Description
A walled city where the ice Queen Tartara resides. The Thundercats end up utterly destroying it to rescue the rare Arietta bird.
Other Information
Featured in the "Crystal Queen" episode.

D
Dark Side
Alliance
Location (Third Earth)
Description
Beyond Fire Rock Mountain, this hard to reach area of Third Earth is where the Lunataks spend their time when not flying about in Sky Tomb.
Other Information
The Dark Side, a part of Third Earth never before mentioned, is introduced in Mumm-Ra Lives Part I as the place
where Mumm-Ra encased the Lunatacs in molten lava. Those land are also known as the Forbidden
Territories, at least by a local legend. Since there's no other known path to them, one must pass
through the Thundrainium Pits and Firerock Mountain to reach them, making it a forbidden trip for
the 'Cats at least. Neither them, nor the Mutants have ever been there before.*
Later, the only way found for the Thundercats can get to this place is through the treacherous cavern known as the Forest of Mists. Usually, Lynx-O guides them with his braille board in the Thunderstrike.
Destiny Atoll
Alliance
Location (Third Earth)
Description
A remote island on Third Earth.
Other Information
After some Berbils saved Bengali, Pumyra and Lynx-O from the dying Thundera, they crash landed on Third Earth and ended up here. Unfortunately, Berzerkers - on Mumm-Ra payroll - found them before the Thundercats did.
The name of the island actually comes from the UK issued Annuals. I'm not sure it had an actual name in the Thundercats Ho! series of episodes.

F
Field of Daggers
Alliance
Location - not too hospitable either. (Third Earth)
Description
One of Third Earth's stranger locations, it's a desert-like place where pillars of rocks burst from the ground when one tries to transverse it.
Other Information
The ThunderTank got hung up here in the episode, "The Doomgaze".
Fire Rock Mountain
Alliance
Location (Third Earth)
Description
This treacherous area not only has some scary terrain - but it's surrounded by the only substance that weakens ThunderCats to seriously debilitating levels: Thundrainium. So it's not someplace the Cats can really explore or mess around too much near it. And therefore, it's one reason it's difficult for the 'Cats to cross over to Dark Side.
Other Information
First became know in the ThunderCats Ho! five part adventure.
Forest of Mists
Alliance
Location (Third Earth)
Description
New to the Thundercasts in season 2, this unexplored region exists near Fire Rock Mountain and Dark Side, and its thick mists make it difficult to navigate...but it's the Thundercats' only "safe" passage into Dark Side, where the new enemies, the Lunataks, lurk.
Other Information
Thanks to Lynx-O and his Braille Board, the Thundercats do manage to navigate this perilous area.
Four Day Drop
Alliance
Location (Third Earth)
Description
A big hole that one would encounter while travelling from the Lair to the Tree Top Kingdom - the Warrior Maidens claim that if you fall in, it'll take four days to hit bottom. Ouch.
Other Information
Lion-O and Hachiman almost went on a four day tour of the massive crater in the episode, "The Thundercutter".

Garden of Delights
Alliance
Location (Third Earth)
Description
Underground Utopia Mumm-Ra created to lure Tygra into his drug-induced trap.
Other Information
No other information at this time.
Geyser of Life
Alliance
Neutral (Third Earth Location)
Description
This is the place Tygra was carried to in "Trouble with Time" so that the aging effects of the Cave of Time could be reversed. A play on mythical Fountains of Youth, this place was guarded by snake birds which do not distinguish between youth seekers with good intentions -- thus the listing as neutral.
Other Information
No other information at this time.
Grey Prison Planet
Alliance
Where the Good "correct" the Bad
Description
More like a half a planet, the entire structure is a huge prison, where the most dangerous or incorrigable prisoners are sent from all over the galaxy.
Other Information
Figured prominently in "Mandora and the Pirates".

H
Hook Mountain
Alliance
Stronghold of Good (Snowmen)
Description
The locale on Third Earth where the castle of the Snowmen is located.
Other Information
Lion-O ventured to this frigid corner of Third Earth to retrieve a Thunderillium-rich meteor that fell there in "Lord of the Snows".

M
Moons of Plun-Darr
Alliance
Location (New Thundera)
Description
Somehow, when Thundera re-formed, the Moons of Plun-Darr began to orbit it and therefore new and wacky areas of Thundera appeared that weren't there on the original planet thanks to each moon's unique influence.
Other Information
Each moon and its unique influence was explained in the "Thundercubs" five part series of episodes..
Mountains of the Moon
Alliance
Location (New Thundera)
Description
Another wacky New Thundera locale, this place has some intense gravity due to the influence of one of the Moons of Plundarr -- in fact, the same Moon TugMug hails from. Therefore, the 'cats don ridiculous looking gravity gear whenever they wish to go there.
Other Information
No other information at this time.

N
New Thundera
Alliance
Home planet of the ThunderCats
Description
In the most convoluted plot in history, Mumm-Ra and the ASOE purposefully took the shattered remains of old Thundera and reformed it into New Thundera -- complete with much of the plant and animal life present on the original planet, not to mention the Treasure of Thundera.
Other Information
Eventually, the ThunderCats figured out their home planet had been reformed and moved back, attempting to settle it. Somehow, it acquired the moons of Plundarr orbitting around it which caused some interesting phenomenon on the planet.

O
Old Thundera
Alliance
Original home planet of the ThunderCats
Description
The original home planet of the ThunderCats and their ilk, the series opens during it's dramatic destruction.
Other Information
We catch a few glimpses of old Thundera throughout the series, particularly in "Return to Thundera" and part of the "Thundercubs" series.

P
Planet of Snarfs
Alliance
A very Snarfy Place for the creatures supposedly incapable of evil.
Description
When Thundera exploded, the Snarfs found an empty planet to colonize, and this is it. It's very pink too. What the hell?
Other Information
The existance of this place was revealed in the Feliner episodes - and it brought us Snarfer. Oh joy.

S
Sky Tomb
Alliance
Stronghold of Evil (Lunataks)
Description
It's the Lunatak's flying fortress of DOOOOOM!
Other Information
The Lunatacs' flying fortress (no, not a B-52), Sky Tomb, is introduced in Mumm-Ra Lives Part II,
constructed with help from the Mutants (V-man mostly) and brutemen slaves. Naturally, it runs on
Thundrillium and must have the worst gas mileage on Third Earth (for its New Thundera equivalent,
see ep #124).*
Sponge Fog
Alliance
Neutral (Third Earth)
Description
This substance is fog, but it's also thick and spongy and can literally be cut. It saved the Thundercats' Lair from being dissolved by acid in "Return of the Driller".
Other Information
No other information at this time.

T
Tower of Omens
Alliance
Stronghold of Good (ThunderCats)
Description
Built to monitor those sneaky Lunataks' activities on Darkside, the Tower is where the new ThunderCats generally resided.
The ThunderCats' new fortress, the Tower of Omens - an observation tower situated by the entrance to
the canyon of the Forest of Mists - is introduced in Mumm-Ra Lives Part III. With the help of the Berbils, the 'Cats
manage to construct the 100ft building that resembles a lighthouse impaling a UFO, with a rotating
radar on the top (the Cat's Eye). Inside its command center, Panthro has installed Lynx-O's Braille
Board, so he'll be able to detect any hostile movement in the area from miles away. Thrown in with
the other extras is also the Screen of Omens, the best in home viewing entertainment (gawd I hate
this franchise). The geezer and the other 2 ThunderNewbs will be staying here mostly from now on.*
Other Information
Mumm-Ra totally annihilates the Tower in "The Last Day". That was a fab moment...
Tree Top Kingdom
