<kimory> Probably a simple one but what made you decide to age Lion-O so much? I heard it's 5 years for every one he was in the Book of Omens.

<BrettBooth> He's supposed to look old and tired, ready to quit. John wanted him to have the beard. WB wanted him to look really old in the first issue.

<BrettBooth> I drew a bit of Lynx-O and Pumyra in issue two, and also in four.

<Purrsia> I see by the promo pic for a future issue that he looks young again...hopefully, a clue that he does get back to normal ;)

<BrettBooth> I was told to take Bengali off the cover to issue five, so I assume he's actually dead.

<Purrsia> that was the strong implication in the Return
<RD> well, a straight tygra but a dead bengali, i guess it's even
<Purrsia> a lot of fans are bummed about that :-p

<BrettBooth> You never know, though, nobody really ever dies in comics.

<BrettBooth> Not in this mini, no Grune. There's too many characters to just throw them all into every

mini.

<BrettBooth> I don't generally do sketches of characters before I draw them in the books unless I'm changing them substantially.
<BrettBooth> I did sketches of some of the other characters for promo purposes since covers couldn't be done for the solicitation of the first issue.

<BrettBooth> The comics industry is hurting, it's VERY hard to break in right now, unless you've done some successful small press or self-published work beforehand.

<BrettBooth> I always advise people to learn to ink, because pencilers are a dime a dozen. Inkers are more likely to get work.
