Uber-tools and the cats who depend on them

Point/Counterpoint EditorialsThe Sword of Omens. The Eye of Thundera. Mystic powers that do not respond to the evil touch.

What a crock of Thunderian bullshit! It's more believable that I've got bandages encrusted to my ancient, wrinkled ass that are more than a thousand years old than it is to believe some of the sheer *crap* that Sword could do.

The later episodes were especially the ones with which I have an ancient bone to pick. Lion-O could fly with the Sword? He could manipulate the weather with it? It got so bad that I didn't even want to shuffle out of my sarcophogus to do the show anymore. How many unrealistic defeats is a ghoul expected to take?

I'm an all powerful, ever-living being and yet that damn cat and his "crutch" get out of every single jam....no wonder all the other cartoon villains are laughing at me.

One miffed Mummy.

And, of course, we have Lion-O's rebuttal on this issue:

Come on, bone bag! Get over it! Good will always conquer evil -- it's just the way it is. It's what gives us all hope and that warm, fuzzy feeling way down deep in our hearts.
Without the Sword, I could beat you, because in essense I am good and you are bad. And good defeating bad is an outcome that has been predictable since the beginning of time.
Besides, if the handsome hero were killed off, who'd tune in every day to watch your shriveled face blather on about diabolical plans to rule the universe, all the while spittle is flying everywhere....By Jaga, not many folks would tune in, I can tell you that!

So There! Na-na-nana-na!

Ass-whipper of evil
