The summer solstice brings changes for the Warrior Maidens and reveals a way for the Thunderians to find out more about their Third Earth destiny. One-shot/Complete.

Lion-O's daughter and son come of age in this fic. Claudana finds more than she bargained for as she begins a journey to find her soulmate among the local Thundercats. But one male has an ulterior motive for wanting to get to know Claudana. Also features my OC from "Song of the Twins", Lioness-A.
To authors:
If you're new here and wish to submit your works, read over the submission rules FAQ first. Any emails sent to me asking about something that is explained in this faq will be pointedly ignored. For returning authors, the rules are pretty much the same as before when I had the old archive. I am screening fics for quality, which means your work won't be visible until I approve it. However, I generally will open your account to pre-approved once your first fic passes muster so fear not. It's not that difficult to be approved for these archives, but I am trying to keep a certain standard of quality.
To readers: I've decided, upon kind request, to allow anon comments (meaning you no longer have to be a registered user to leave comments or rate a fic). Abuse of the system will result in reverting to the old members-only way of allowing comments. Use this power wisely - keep criticisms constructive as flames will be deleted.
However, comments are encouraged so if you've enjoyed a story, were confused or just have general comments to make please do! An author can't know how his/her audience has recieved the work unless you respond. Likewise, giving a story you've enjoyed a great deal a rating will encourage more people to read it so don't be shy. I know this because according to the archive statistics, those stories that have been rated or have feedback posted have a higher count of hits. I encourage you on behalf of all the authors to be generous - but respectful - with your feedback.
Please note the posts in the news section for important announcements concerning the archive. Thank You.
Good news: efiction finally released a patch for the software and I installed it successfully.
Bad news: My tests of the script still show some of the same bugs when adding chapters so I'm extremely frustrated. However, I was able to add an author and some other things that were broken before.
Bear with me. Please notify me of any bugs you notice, and I'll see if we can't get them sorted in the developer's forum. Thanks.

Thinking of running the archive on the SMF forum Articles Mod. A beta version, which needs a lot of work and IS NOT ready to serve the ficcing public is here:
http://www.thundercatsfans.org/tcfans/fanfictions/index.php
Hoping that there will be some kind of data transfer tool, as SMF often has for message board use, to go from efiction to this - then everyone's stuff would just be integrated. Otherwise, Yes it would mean starting over.
Anyway, purpose of this announcement is so you can stop by, look around, and give preliminary feedback. I uploaded a few chapters of fic to get an idea of how this will work. I may ask later for volunteers to help me test it more thoroughly once I get it more polished. But this is so you get the idea. SMF is pretty reliable - been running my forums on it for years, so I'm hoping that this will be good for a long haul.
Thoughts?

Ok, so I've been trying to fix the archive. Problem seems to be the head developer is awol (understandable as life happens) so a patch or version update is not forthcoming, and everyone on the forum is just offering their best advice. Some claim the fixes offer work. I have not had complete luck.
As it is now, you can add a chapter, but you have to paste it in - it's not acknowledging any file uploads that I can tell on my test run. After you paste the text in and add, you will get a mysql error page. However, the story chapter still seems to add.
New stories, I assume are working out the same. Also, it doesn't seem to update an author's stats when they add new stories.
Problem is, I can go back to the oldest working version of efiction but that will leave us open to hacks. Likewise if the developer stays awol too long, this version will be more vulnerable as time goes on.
*sigh* What I'm likely going to have to do is install a totally different software. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to offer them. Leaning away from hard coded html as that is far too much work for me at this juncture.
So far I'm looking at Joomla software - open source and could offer some other functionality for visitors and members. Hoping to maybe install something along the lines of Quizilla's site. Let me know what you think. Downfall would be everyone would have to re-upload their crap and paste reviews over if you wanted to keep them, I guess.
Blarg.
